American history includes events that are so profound that we all recall where we were and what we were doing when they occurred. When September 11, 2001, dawned, it was another work day, but one that would prove to be like no other. We in Shreveport-Bossier observed most historic events from a distance; however, our community was forever linked to the fateful events of 9/11 when President George W. Bush landed at Barksdale Air Force Base and addressed the nation and the world.

As Part of the Strategy Alternatives Consortium (SAC) at LSU Shreveport we invited listeners to record their memories from that tragic day and share with us how this event affected the. Listen here to these touching and poignant memories.
