San Francisco Symphony: Mendelssohn & Brahms

Airs Monday, July 27, at 1 p.m. This week on the San Francisco Symphony, Alexander Barantschik will conduct and will be the soloist in Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in D minor. Mozart's Divertimento in F major for Strings will open the concert and we'll hear the Melodia--Libertango by Astor Piazzolla featuring Seth Asarnow on the bandoneón. The concert concludes with an archived performance of the Symphony No. 2 by Brahms.
