Bill Beckett spoke with John Howe from the American Federation of Musicians Local 116 about the third annual Big Band Concert and Clinic which takes place Tuesday, December 3 at 7 p.m. at Airline High School in Bossier City. The concert is free for all high school and younger students and $10 for adults with proceeds going toward an endowment account for a Scholarship fund. Bill Beckett spoke with pianist Asiya Korepanova and Dr. Lester Senter Wilson, the Executive Director of the Wideman International Piano Competition about the Shreveport Symphony Orchestra’s concert on Saturday, November 16 at 7:30 pm in Riverview Theatre. The concert features Asiya Korepanova in the Burlekse by Richard Strauss and Twyla Robinson in the Four Last Songs of Richard Strauss as well as his tone poem Don Juan.
