River City Repertoire Theatre / River City Repertoire Theatre

Airs Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at 11 a.m. Kermit Poling spoke with Heather Bryson and Stephen L. Barron about River City Repertoire Theatre's new production of Desire, comprised of six short plays written by six acclaimed playwrights based on six short stories by Tennessee Williams. The plays weave a tapestry of longing and the need for human beings to connect and communicate. Each play serves as an homage to Williams and his vast body of work. The show opens tonight, March 6, at 7:30 p.m. with multiple performances this week at the East Bank Theatre, 630 Barksdale Blvd.

Shreveport Little Theatre / Shreveport Little Theatre

Airs Thursday, February 28, 2019, at 11 p.m. Bill Beckett spoke with Bobby Darrow, Managing Artistic Director of Shreveport Little Theater, along with actors George Sewell and Jeff Lowe about Shreveport Little Theatre’s new production of Inherit the Wind, a play by Jerome Lawrence and Robert Lee and directed here by Mary Joris. All performances will take place in Shreveport Little Theatre, located at 812 Margaret Place in Shreveport. Performance are February 28, March 1, 2, 8, and 9 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday March 3 and 10 at 2 p.m.

The concert takes place Saturday, February 16, 2019, at 7:30 p.m. Shreveport Little Theater, located at 812 Margaret Place in Shreveport.

Airs Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at 11 a.m. Bill Beckett spoke with Robert Trudeau, the author and illustrator of “How To Mardi Gras,” who stopped by to share some events coming up for the Carnival Season and some insights into The Carnival Season and Louisiana Culture. The events are a Second Line Brass Band heritage project, a downtown walking tour to lecture about African-American history, an art walk featuring illustrations by Robert Trudeau and many others, and a talk at the Women’s Department Club on February 21.
