Pipp and his late brother, Guy Gillette, recorded eight albums of cowboy music and were recipients of the Western Heritage Wrangler Award for Best Traditional Album of 2010. They also received the 2012 Wrangler Award for Best Outstanding Original Western Composition for their performance of the song, Trade Off, penned by Waddie Mitchell.

Airs Friday, October 9 at 10 p.m.  This week on the Caravan we have short program following a live performance by Pipp Gillette Live in the Red River Radio Weiss performance studio. At 10 p.m. we join Della Mae, recorded live at the Divide, and in the final hour we'll sigh "An American Prayer."

Pipp Gillette raises cattle on the family ranch near Lovelady, Texas, where his grandfather started in 1912.
