Airs Monday, April 27, at 11 a.m. The new season of concerts from the San Francisco Symphony begins this week when Semyon Bychkov leads the orchestra in Schubert's Symphony in B Minor, D.759, Unfinished and Shostakovich's Symphony No. 11 in G Minor, Op. 105, The Year 1905.  For an Encore the orchestra dips into the archives for Stravinsky's Symphony in Three Movements under the direction of Michael Tilson Thomas.

Airs Monday, April 20, at 11 a.m. A new season of concerts from the San Francisco Symphony begins this week when Semyon Bychkov takes the podium and is joined by violinist Pinchas Zukerman for Bruch Violin Concerto No. 1 in G Minor, Op. 26. The concert will open with Wagner Overture to Tannhäuser (the Dresden version), and we'll hear Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5 in E Minor, Op. 64 plus as an encore Kissine's Post-scriptum (with Michael Tilson Thomas conducting.
