Airs Thursday, July 23, at 1 p.m. This Week on Carnegie Hall Live, very old music sounds very new when conductor and viola de gamba soloist Jordi Savall leads the Le Concert des Nations in a feast of French Baroque music with Lully's Suite from Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme; Marche pour la Cérémonie des Turque; Premiere Air des Espagnols; Second Air des Espagnols; L'entrée des Scaramouches; and Chaconne des Scaramouches; as well as Couperin's Prelude from Deuxième concert royal; Musette from Troisième concert royal; and the Chaconne légère from Troisième concert royal.

Airs Monday, June 15, at 11 a.m. On this week's concert by the San Francisco Symphony conductor Pablo Heras-Casado will lead the orchestra in works by Lully, Mendelssohn, Kissine, and Thomas Adès. We'll hear Lully's Overture and Passacaille from Armide; Three Studies from Couperin by Thomas Adès; Symphony No. 3 in A minor by Mendelssohn, his Scottish Symphony; and Post-scriptum by Kissine.
