Airs Monday, August 22, at 1 p.m. On this week's concert from the Cleveland Orchestra, a celebration of Brahms with violinist Julia Fischer joining music director Franz Welser-Möst for the Brahms Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 77. The concrt opens with the Academic Festival” Overture, Op. 80 by Brahms and concludes with his Symphony No. 4 in E minor, Op. 98.

Airs Monday, August 31, at 1 p.m. On the next broadcast concert by the San Francisco Symphony music director Michael Tilson Thomas is joined by violinist Julia Fischer for the Violin Concerto No. 1 in D major by Prokofiev. He'll then lead the orchestra in the Symphonie fantastique by Berlioz and Selections from Cinderella also by Prokofiev.
