Airs Thursday, August 22, 2019, at 1 p.m. On this concert pianist Beatrice Rana will join the Philadelphia Orchestra under the direction of Yannick Nézet-Séguin in a concert centered around Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 3. The concert opens with a Funeral Song by Igor Stravinsky and will close with the Symphony No. 1 by Rachmaninoff.

Airs Monday, October 22, 2018, at 1 p.m. This week we begin a new season of concerts from the Cleveland Orchestra, opening their 100th season with Franz Welser-Möst leading the orchestra in Beethoven's String Quartet # 15 arranged for string symphony and Igor Stravinsky's complete score to the The Rite of Spring, with an encore featuring music from Parsifal by Wagner.

Airs Monday, June 25, 2018, at 1 p.m. This week Red River Radio begins a new season of broadcast concerts by the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Michael Tilson Thomas. In our opening concert pianist Yuja Wang will be featured in the Piano Concerto No. 1 in C minor, Opus 35. Then Michael Tilson Thomas will lead the orchestra in two works by Stravinsky, his Le Chant du Rossignol and the 1919 version of his Firebird Suite.

Airs Friday, May 11, 2018 at 12 noon. This week on our Regional Symphony Broadcast, The Marshall Symphony will be featured, conducted by Kermit Poling in a program that opens with the Dance of the Comedians from The Bartered Bride by Bedřich Smetana. The program also features Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, Op. 43, with pianist Steven Dong, winner of the 2017 Juanita Miller competition of the Texas Association of Symphony Orchestras. This concert concludes with the Suite from the magnificent Firebird Suite by Igor Stravinsky.
