Metropolitan Opera 2017-18 Season

Launched in 1931, the Metropolitan Opera’s Saturday matinee broadcasts are the longest-running continuous classical program in radio history. This season kicks off on December 2, 2017 with the Requiem by Verdi and run  through May 5, 2018 with a new production of Roméo et Juliette by Gounod. The season will feature The Magic Flute, Le Nozze Di Figaro, Tosca, Thaïs, Parsifal, La Bohème, Turandot, and Così Fan Tutte among otherand much more. Twenty-three broadcasts will be presented on the Toll Brothers–Metropolitan Opera International Radio Network through May 5, 2017. Mary Jo Heath will be the season’s new host.
