Red River Radio announces our Seventh Annual Young Artists Competition, open to instrumentalists and vocalists ages 18 and under in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas. Winners will be chosen from entries for participation in a live radio broadcast on Sunday, October 9, 2016, at 3 p.m., to be held in the Red River Radio performance hall.
Each winner will also receive a copy of their professionally recorded performance. Winners will be selected based on ability, musicality, and appropriateness of the selection for a radio program.
To enter download and complete the entry form, including the signature of one parent or guardian. Please also download the Teacher's Approval form and have your teacher complete and sign. Please return both completed forms along with a CD of your performance (accompanied) by the entry deadline which is 5 p.m., Monday, September 26, 2016. Winners will be notified starting September 27, 2016.
Contest entry submission music should be the piece you intend to perform on the broadcast, if selected, and should be limited to approximately 10 minutes or less in time. Entrants may provide their own accompanist for the broadcast or, if one is unavailable, an accompanist will be provided by Red River Radio. (Accompanists on the CDs are the responsibility of the entrant.)

The performance will be open to the public and selected winners are encouraged to bring family and friends to the taping. All entries, including recordings, become the property of Red River Radio. By signing this form and entering the competition you are authorizing Red River Radio to record and broadcast your performance, should you be a winner.
