The Mansion Family Live

Airs Tuesday, February 18 at 8 p.m.  One part whiskey, one part broken hearts, one part bar fight and five parts brothers in soul, The Mansion Family is smooth blend of high energy roots rock and songwriter introspection. Hailing from East Texas, the band draws from a variety of influences to create a sound that winds from the back roads to the back alleys, taking all who listen along for the ride. Tune in and enjoy and also help Red River Radio raise the money we need to continue for the next year.  You can call in and pledge at 800-552-8502 or pledge on line now:  DONATE NOW!

With a sound that has been called everything from “roots rock with jam band tendencies” to “chicken fried steak with jam-jam gravy”, The Mansion Family stacks layers of guitars like cordwood over a rhythmic foundation of upright bass and dynamic drums. Songs like “Jailhouse”, “Me and the Devil” and “Drunken Troubadour” are the band’s tour d’ force, building to the pitch of a family reunion gone wrong, as numbers like “Sinking Fast” call to all who have ever had a broken heart and are still pissed about it. Eric Gardner on bass & vocals; Kasey Brown on drums; Chris Dean on lead guitar & vocals; John Fox on guitar & vocals; Nick Brumley on rythym guitar & lead vocals.

The staff of Red River Radio is deeply saddened to announce the loss of our friend and colleague Wally Derleth who passed suddenly in his home the morning of Saturday, January 22. Wally was the beloved host of Evening Jazz and Operations Manager since 1999.
