Louisiana Students Show Academic Improvement

LOUISIANA STUDENTS IMPROVE ACADEMICALLY - Six years ago, Louisiana adopted higher academic standards from kindergarten through 12th grade. According to recent reports,  Louisiana students have shown improvement in all areas, specifically in math and English language performance and more are graduating from high school.  The number of students scoring on grade level in English Language Arts and math tests has increased from 24 percent in 2012 to 38 percent in 2016. And in Orleans Parrish and the Recovery School District, the number of minority students on grade level has also risen 5 percentage points since last year.The Urban League of Louisiana has been involved in supporting education in the state and advocating for better academic standards.

LA. STUDENTS IMPROVE - Student test scores have been on the rise in Louisiana for two consecutive years.

He began his career as a radio news reporter and transitioned to television journalism and newsmagazine production. Chuck studied mass communications at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia and motion picture / television production at the University of California at Los Angeles. He has also taught writing for television at York Technical College in Rock Hill, South Carolina and video / film production at Centenary College of Louisiana, Shreveport.
