Airs Saturday, August 8, at 12 noon. On this week's production from the LA Opera, it's the second of three works that re-envision Figaro with The Marriage of Figaro by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Roberto Tagliavini stars as Figaro with Pretty Yende as Susanna, Ryan McKinny as Count Almaviva and Guanqun Yu as Countess Almaviva. Renee Rapier is Cherubino, KristinnSigmundsson appears as Doctor Bartolo, Lucy Schaufer is Marcellina, and Philip Cokorinos will play Antonio. James Conlon leads the LA Opera Orchestra and Chorus in this production directed by Ian Judge. Duff Murphy will host.
