Bill Beckett talks with Debra Kavanaugh, the Literacy Coordinator for Shreve Memorial Library, about the Big Read, a community wide literacy program centering on Tim O'Brien book "The Things They Carried." There will be public dialogues and workshops about the themes in the stry and copies of the book will be handed out while supplies last. These events are set to kick off on Saturday, October 6 at the Shreve Memorial Library Broadmoor Resource Center.
