Kermit Poling hosts actors Nathan Gay and Brittany Gay, along with music director Adam Philley, for a spotlight about SLT's production of the musical Little Shop of Horrors, running through the end of July. Performances are scheduled for July 14, 15, 16, 20, 21, 22, 23, 27, 28, 29, 30 at 7:30 p.m., andJuly 17, 24, and 31 at 2:00 p.m. at Shreveport Little Theatre.

  • The Marshall Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Kermit Poling, performs a program featuring music of Mozart and Vivaldi. The orchestra will perform Mozart's 25th Symphony, while guest classical guitarist Giovanni De Chiaro will join the orchestra for Vivaldi's Guitar Concerto and other favorites.
  • Dynamic young jazz trio present an evening of jazz standards and original compositions. Concert presented in historic St. Augustine Catholic Church in the heart of the Cane River historic district.
  • Juried plein air (outdoor painting) event located in beautiful Marksville in the heart of Avoyelles Parish. Artist reception and art sale afterward in the Avoyelles Arts Council Gallery. All artist levels welcome. All painting and drawing media welcome.
