Bill Beckett talks with Craig Baldwin, Artistic Director of the ThunderSoul Orchestra about their reunion concert tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m at The Mickey Melton Performance Center at Longview High School, 201 Tomlinson Parkway, Longview, 75605. Bill Beckett talks with Debra Kavanaugh, the Literacy Coordinator for Shreve Memorial Library, about the Big Read, a community wide literacy program centering on Tim O'Brien book "The Things They Carried." There will be public dialogues and workshops about the themes in the stry and copies of the book will be handed out while supplies last. Bill Beckett talks with Gregory Kallenberg, Executive Director of the LA Film Prize 2012 Festival about the events this weekend at the Robinson Film Center, the Capri, and Artspace. 20 films will be shown in numerous viewings over the festival weekend.  Opening Ceremonies begin Friday at 5:00 p.m. with a welcome to the filmmakers and to festival-goers.
