Airs Saturday, January 21 at 12:00 noon.  The 2011-2012 Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast season continues with a live broadcast of The Enchanted Island, a world premiere opera written and devised by Jeremy Sams that sets music by Handel, Vivaldi, Rameau, and other composers of the Baroque era to a new, English-language libretto.

Kermit Poling talks with Michael Butterman, Music Director of the Shreveport Symphony and Guest Pianist Norman Krieger about the Beauty Brahms, the next concert by the Shreveport Symphony.  The concert takes place Saturday, January 21 at 7:30 p.m. at Riverview Theatre .

     Airs Thursday, January 19 at 10:01 a.m. The George and Peggy Schmidbauer International Competition celebrates its fifth year this Saturday and Sunday, January 21-22, 2012 on the campus of Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. The competition holds the highest standards in artistry and performance, attracting musicians from all around the world to East Texas. As an annual event, the competition alternates between piano and strings, bringing rising artists from both disciplines to compete and perform for lucrative prizes and future engagements.
