From The Top at the Belcher Center on Longview

Red River Radio along with The Belcher Center are co-sponsoring "From The Top" which is coming to LeTourneau University's Belcher Center on March 25, 2017. From the Top is America’s largest national platform dedicated to celebrating the stories, talents, and character of classically-trained young musicians. Great kids. Great music. Hope for the future. The performance will feature 12-year-old pianist Antonio “Nio” Ajero from Nacogdoches, Texas, performing Caprice á la Scarlatti in G major by Ignacy Jan Paderewski. Additional performers include 16-year-old flutist Olivia Elerson from Waxahachie, Texas; Quartet Diamant, winners of the 2016 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition; 14-year-old violinist Sena Cho from Irvine, California; 17-year-old cellist David Kaplan from Skokie, Illinois. David Kaplan and Olivia Elerson will also receive From the Top’s Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award in conjunction with their performances on the show. The $10,000 Award is given to deserving young musicians to help further their musical studies.
