Red River Radio Spotlight: SSO Chamber Concert titled Brass Spectacular - Fanfares and Flourishes

Kermit Poling spoke with Thomas Hundemer, principle French Horn for the Shreveport Symphony along with Rick Rowell, principal Trumpet about the Shreveport Symphony’s upcoming Noel Foundation Chamber Concert called Brass Spectacular: Fanfares and Flourishes which takes place this Sunday, February 25, at 3 p.m. and the LSUS Auditorium at the University Center. A Brass and Percussion Ensemble program featuring works by Michael Daugherty, Giovanni Gabrieli, Aaron Copland, Karel Husa, Joan Tower, and Benjamin Britten. The concert is free and open to all. The 2019 silver medal winner of the International Global Music Award, Kermit Poling is Music Director of both the South Arkansas Symphony, the Marshall Symphony Orchestra, the Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet, the Associate Conductor of the Shreveport Symphony Orchestra as well as General Manager of the Red River Radio Network.
