Airs Saturday, February 3, 2018, at 12 noon. The 2017-18 Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast season continues with a live broadcast of Verdi’s Il Trovatore. It stars soprano Jennifer Rowley as the noblewoman Leonora, mezzo-soprano Anita Rachvelishvili as the mysterious gypsy Azucena, tenor Yonghoon Lee as the troubadour Manrico, and baritone Quinn Kelsey as Manrico’s rival Count di Luna. Bass Štefan Kocán sings the role of Ferrando, and Marco Armiliato leads the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and Chorus in the performance. Il Trovatore will be heard live over Toll Brothers-Metropolitan Opera International Radio Network at 12:00 p.m. CT on Saturday, February 3.
