Carnegie Hall Live: Dudamel and the Vienna Philharmonic

Airs Thursday, November 8, 2018, at 1 p.m. The Carnegie Hall Live series continues with Gustavo Dudamel and the Vienna Philharmonic. The all-Brahms program showcases the composer’s playful side with the Academic Festival Overture, the nods to past influences via the Variations on a Theme by Joseph Haydn, and the much anguished-over First Symphony that catapulted him into the ranks of great German composers. Jeff Spurgeon and John Schaefer host.
