Austin State University in February, 2013. As part of her visit she sat down with Judy McDonald before a live audience in the Baker </span>Pattillo<span style="line-height: 1.5;"> Student Center. The conversation includes insight into growing up a Kennedy as the eldest child of Robert Kennedy and niece of John F. Kennedy. They also discuss her work as a lieutenant governor in Maryland and former U.S. deputy assistant attorney general as well as her work on issues including public safety and improving access to higher education as well as the Police Corps, a program granting higher education scholarships to those who pledged to work as police officers.</span></p><div>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Judy McDonald is a former president and CEO of the Nacogdoches Economic Development Corporation and she served on the Nacogdoches City Commission for 18 years, becoming the first female mayor of Nacogdoches. Austin State University has received a three-year grant to develop online courses that will better equip museum workers to take on controversial and complex science topics through their exhibits and conversations with patrons. Austin State University, and at many other colleges in the region. Some students have spent their holiday break fine-tuning a film that will premiere in April. SFA music lecturer Herbert Midgley wrote the sci-fi film, “The Rise of the Robots.” He’s currently assisting students in the cinematography program on post-production. Austin State University will bring together Middle East scholars, analysts and journalists for a two-day conference in Houston. The conference will focus on the future relationship between the United States and the Middle East. The&nbsp;goal is to develop some policy recommendations that can be forwarded to the U.S. State Department and policy institutes. The conference will be held Oct. 18-19 at the Magnolia Hotel in Houston. It's free and open to the public.
