Airs Tuesday, February 12 at 8 pm. President Obama will deliver his State of the Union address and NPR News will offer live anchored special coverage starting at 8 pm CT. Our special coverage will be hosted by Melissa Block. She'll be joined in the studio by NPR National Political Correspondent Mara Liasson and Senior Washington Editor Ron Elving.

Inauguration 2013

Airs Monday, January 21 at 9 am. Red River Radio will join NPR news for special live coverage of the Inauguration of President Barack Obama. Steve Inskeep and Audie Cornish will host this special from the West Front of the U.S. Capitol Building, where the Inaugural ceremony will take place. They'll be joined there by White House Correspondents Ari Shapiro and Scott Horsley.

President Obama will speak today at noon about the economy. His remarks are expected to last approximately 10 minutes and NPR will provide coverage of his remarks. We will start the Regional Symphony Broadcast after the president's remarks.

Airs Tuesday, November 6 at 7:00 p.m. Join Red River Radio and NPR News for and election night broadcast special on November 6, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Robert Siegel and Melissa Block will host. NPR's Washington Editor Ron Elving, National Political Correspondent Mara Liasson, and Political Junkie Ken Rudin will be in our DC studio. Our hosts will also be joined by NPR Contributors E.J. Dionne and Matthew Continetti. We'll have exit poll analysis from Andrew Kohut and Michael Dimock of the Pew Research Center. NPR's Ari Shapiro will join us from the Mitt Romney election night event. Scott Horsley will be at President Obama's election night event.

Airs Monday, October 22 at 8:00 p.m. Red River Radio and NPR News will provide live coverage of the the third Presidential Debate which will address the foreign policy issues facing the nation. Bob Schieffer, Chief Washington Correspondent for CBS News and Host of Face the Nation will be the moderator for this debate, which will be broadcast live from Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL. Following the debates we'll hear analysis from NPR Senior Washington editor Ron Elving, our political analysts E.J. Dionne and Matt Continetti, and several NPR policy reporters who will be standing by in our studio. We'll also hear insights from our traveling campaign reporters and a national political correspondents who will join us from the debate sites.
