Frequently Asked Questions about Supporting Red River Radio
Why does Red River Radio need listener contributions?

Red River Radio listeners are our most reliable, most consistent, and largest source of income (over 52% for 2003-04). As a non-profit, public radio station, we can only continue to broadcast quality news, information, and music programming with your generous financial support.

If I have a problem with my pledge, or have a question about a thank-you gift, how do I get in touch?

Email our Membership Coordinator Wendi Bryant, or call 1-800-552-8502.

I still have a few months left on my membership. Why are you sending me a renewal notice now?

Because membership is so important, we start sending out renewal notices in advance of your membership's expiration. This is also useful for many of our members who use our installment plan, allowing them the opportunity to plan ahead for budgetary purposes.

How long does it take to receive my membership thank you gift?

On average, you will receive your thank you gift four to six weeks after your pledge payment is processed.

I'm a supporter of Red River Radio, and the company I work for will match all or some of my charitable contributions. Does Red River Radio have a form to send me so the company can match my gift?

If you work for a matching-gift company, please send us your company's matching gift form. Just check with your Human Resources department. You may be able to double your gift to Red River Radio! Please send the form to: Red River Radio, P.O. Box 5250, Shreveport, Louisiana, 71135.   Learn more.

Is there a way I can help Red River Radio monthly rather than one large payment?

There is. You can put monthly installments on your Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover card. This is the most convenient and cost-effective way for you to support programming on Red River Radio.

I've never used my credit card on the internet before. How does it work and is it safe?

Red River Radio uses the best security and encryption technology available for your protection. The personal and financial information your computer sends us, and that we send back to your computer, must be encrypted while in transit. Encrypted files are scrambled and can only be reassembled by someone who has the correct encryption key. This means that when you send your personal and financial information to Red River Radio, it is encrypted so that no one but us can decipher it. Your credit card number is never stored unencrypted on our server, and it is only decrypted at the time of its use.
